I finally met my Uncle Dusty!

I was so excited for Rachel to finally get to meet her Uncle Dusty. He had been deployed to Guam since June and was dying to see her. He drove into town today with his girlfriend, Janelle. It was so good to see Dusty and to finally meet Janelle! Rachel did not greet him with lots of smiles, (if you know what I mean), but she did finally warm up to them! She would look at Janelle and smile at her everytime she saw her! It was so cute! Rachel also giggled for the first time today! Mrs. Colette said she did it this morning when she was looking at herself in the mirror, but I did not get to see it. Dad was playing with her and she giggled at him! So cute!

Christmas Pictures!

Mike and I took Rachel to Ocala for Christmas pictures this evening! She was so adorable! We wanted to go ahead and get them done so we could send them out with the Christmas cards. Check out the photobucket website for today to see a few. We will post the rest when we get them! ADORABLE!

Weight Check!

I took Rachel for her monthly weight check today... SHE WAS 11 POUNDS!!! It is hard to believe how much she has grown since she was a tiny baby only 4 months ago! She has more than doubled her weight in 4 months... 5 lb 3.5 oz to 11 lbs!

4 Months Old!

Rachel is 4 months old today! We took her to get her pictures at Sears. She has gotten really good at holding herself up on her belly. So... we wanted to get her picture doing that, because Mike has one doing that! She looks so precious!

Grab It!

This morning, Mike, Sam, Mr. Rodney, and Willie left early to go to the FSU/Clemson game for Willie's birthday. I stayed here and went to my parents house, because my Aunt Jan and Uncle Mike were coming into town to meet Rachel! It was a really fun time and they seemed to really enjoy meeting Rachel. While they were there, Rachel was laying on her activity gym and we were playing with her. She reached out and grabbed her toy! That was the first time that she had done that! She has been accomplishing so much so fast! :) Oh! She also saw her first dog today! :) She liked her!

She did it!!!

I was folding laundry today, on the bed, and had Rachel laying on the bed too. She was just looking around, making noises, and moving her legs and arms, when all of the sudden, SHE ROLLED OVER!!! I know that she has rolled over before, but this was different! She rolled over from her back to her belly this time! I just got done reading in my baby book that babies don't usually do that until they are about 6 months!

We are so happy! She is such a smart and active little girl! She loves to move and to be in on the action! We are so proud of our precious baby angel!

It's Election Day!

Today was election day...

Rachel Got To Vote! :)

Needless to say... it did not turn out the way we wanted it to! Most of our local candidates we voted for won, and Amendment 2 passed (YAY*Says marriage is one man and one woman*)...

However... Barack Obama beat John McCain for president.

We are not looking forward to what the next 4 years holds.... we just have to give it to God... Pray for our country and our military!

Roll Over, Roll Over!

Rachel is accomplishing all kinds of milestones! She rolled over, all by herself this morning! She was doing "tummy time" and picking her head up, when all of the sudden, she got everything going right and she rolled over onto her back! We are so proud of her! :)

Pick That Head Up!

Rachel picked her head and chest up off the ground and held it up for the first time today! We are so proud of her! We just happened to have the video camera out! YAY!!!!

Another Trip To The Doc!

Rachel had her 5th Doctor's Appointment today! She was 10 pounds 4 ounces (10-25%)! She is gaining more weight, and going up in her percentiles for weight! YEA! She was 24 inches long (75%)! I cannot believe she is already 2 foot tall! Her head circumference was 39 cm (25%). She got one more shot today, but she was a really good girl! She only cried for a minute! YAY RACHEL! :)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today was Mike's birthday! Yesterday, we had a family party for him! We all hung out and made hamburgers. We had cake and ice cream and he opened gifts. Rachel was the hit of the party, of course. Everyone wanted to see her! Jen had priority, though, because she only gets to see her seldomly! :) Today, Rachel and I made daddy a card and a collage of pictures of Rachel and Daddy. Both turned out very cute! We also took Daddy to lunch at Sonny's! After Mike got off work, we went to Ocala with his mom, dad, and Sam to eat at Cracker Barrel. We then went to Hobby Lobby and Sports Authority before coming back to Granny and Grandpap's house to eat more cake and ice cream! We had a great day! Go Noles!

Rachel went to her 1st FSU game today! Boy, was it fun! Rachel did such a good job! We went to Pop and Granny Harrelson's house for lunch and to visit for a few, then went to the game. We went to Bill's Bookstore to get a Noles outfit for Rachel, then to the stadium! Rachel was awake for about a quarter of the game (off and on).

Everyone thought Rachel was the cutest thing. (I AGREE, OF COURSE!) One lady came down from about 15 rows up and asked if she could take Rachel's picture, because she was so cute! I said, "SURE!"

People all around us were asking about her, how old, etc. After the game, two ladies told us that she was a super baby! They could not believe how well behaved she was thoughout the entire game! It was wonderful!

I am so glad we got to take Rachel to her 1st FSU game! I was also happy that they won and it was such a good game! GO NOLES! It was beautiful weather outside, too! About 70 at game time!

What Was That?!

We went to John and Pam Kennedy's house this evening. Pam had never met Rachel before! Rachel was so sleepy! We went on the backporch and sat on the swing as Mike went to the pond to fish. Rachel fell asleep shortly. However... They have cows! One cow bellowed and Rachel popped her head up and looked at me like "WHAT WAS THAT?!" It was so cute... She went back to sleep and a little while later, a cow "moo'd" again! It did wake her up again! It was so cute... her first cow woke her up!

Papa's Birthday!

Today was Papa's (Don Harrelson) birthday! We went to Sonnys with him for lunch and then to his house for dinner. It was a fun day to spend with him!

FIRST MLB GAME!!!! ALCS GAME 7!!!!

Well... Yesterday afternoon, Mike got a call from Ross. Ross said that he had 4 extra tickets to the Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox game in St. Pete and wanted to know if Mike wanted them. I had been trying to find tickets for Mike for several days, because this is a big game... Once in a lifetime! I convinced (not very hard) Mike to get the tickets and go! I was not going to go, but finally decided that it would be fun... Needless to say, about 30 minutes later, Mike, Sam, AJ, myself, and RACHEL were on our way to Game 7 of the American League Championship Series! It was so much fun! Rachel did WONDERFUL! She slept most of the game in her "Hugamonkey" sling! She woke up a few times, SCREAMING because it was SO LOUD, but she was nothing compared to everyone else! I DO have Feet!

We went to Sam's Cross Country meet at Citrus today! Isn't she adorable! Rachel started "examining" her feet today! So Precious! She lays on her back and picks them up or just sits up and looks down... So fun to watch!

3 months, Already!

Rachel turned 3 months today... I cannot believe it! The time has flown by... I already want the time to stop! Mike keeps saying he can't wait for her to run to the door when he gets home from work... I keep telling him I want her to stay little! I don't want the time to go by so fast!

3 months means a weight check and pictures! :) She was 9 pounds 14 ounces today! She is putting on some weight. :) I took her to Walmart for pictures today, because it is so much more convenient. I promised Mike that I would only get the promotional package that has 33 pictures of one pose... We did the "Fairy" pose... It was a starry background like in the enchanted forest and they put little wings behind her... ADORABLE! :) She had a HUGE smile too!

I Don't Like The Dr!

Rachel went to the doctor for the 4th time today! She weight 9 pounds 5 ounces (~10%)! She was 22.5"(~50%) long and her head circumference was 38 cm (`25%). She also go 2 immunizations today:(... She screamed for a while! The receptionist said that babies that little don't usually get that mad! My baby lets you know what is going on and that she did NOT like that!

Hello Lights!

Rachel has been sitting in her little portable swing when we eat dinner or when she gets fussy at night. Well, for the first time today, she saw that there were lights on the swing and began looking at them! :) Yeah Rachel!

To Grandmother's House We Go...

Rachel got to go see Granny Harrelson and Pop on Saturday! It was her first time (of many) to Tallahassee! She was so happy and smiled at them when we got there. Uncle Steve came by for a few minutes to see her for the first time before he had to go work the FSU game. She was eating his polyester suit... Tasted good! :) Aunt Christine, Tyler, and Corey also came by to see her! When Tyler held her, he kept asking "Am I doing ok?" :) Corey was dying to hold her! They both did great!

I stayed with Rachel at Pop and Granny Harrelson's house and Mike went to the FSU/Wake Forest game with Sam and Brandon... They did not have fun because FSU got WHOOPED! Oh well!

We took Rachel to Chapel Hill for the first time, and, like always, she did WONDERFUL! Everyone couldn't believe how beautiful she was and how well behaved! No crying... :) She's such a little angel!

Say Cheese!

Rachel turned 2 months today! I took her for a weight check and she was 8 pounds 12 ounces! My baby is getting big!

Rachel got her picture taken professionally for the first time today! She did amazing! The photographer couldn't believe how good she was! They were all adorable! When we went to pick out he pics we wanted, I told Mike that he had to do it, because I would choose all of them! Needless to say, we got all of them! :)
